Makeup for the Mature Woman
As we age, most of us need to lighten our makeup look. Give your face a lift and bring out your beauty by choosing softer makeup shades, and applying them with a light hand.
A beautiful face starts with beautiful skin. To help makeup glide on smoothly, always begin your regime with a hydrating moisturizer. Try Avon's ANEW RETROACTIVE Age Reversal Cream, which works at the cellular level to revitalize skin. Apply a good eye cream (such as ANEW Perfect Eye Care Cream) to smooth fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes.
As we age our natural skin tone tends to fade, so this is a good time to re-think your foundation. Choose a slightly lighter shade in a moisturizing formula, like Avon's Face Lifting Moisture Firm Foundation Cream Souffle', and use a light touch when applying it. Set with powder, but go easy (powder has a tendency to settle in fine lines and wrinkles, making them more noticeable). Eyeliner can look harsh -- instead, try sweeping a deep, neutral shadow -- such as a soft dark brown -- along your upper lash line. Define lashes with mascara; fill in sparse or pale brows with a brow pencil in a shade close to your hair color.
A moisturizing lip color (such as Avon's Ultra Color Renewable Lipstick) in a soft, pretty shade adds the finishing touch. To help keep color in place, line lips with a matching lip pencil.
