Makeup Tips for Teens
If you're just starting to use makeup, lucky you! There are so many great shades to choose from right now! Have fun experimenting with all the trends...from pastels, to metallics...to brights!
But remember: when it comes to makeup, less is more. Too much makeup will detract from your look...and that's definitely not the goal. It's best to go easy with makeup until you are more experienced in applying it.
For everyday, aim for a fresh look that lets your natural beauty shine through. Skip foundation and powder for now. To hide the occasional blemish, dab on concealer in a shade close to your natural skin tone (check out Avon's Clear Finish Anti-Acne Treatment for great coverage plus oil control).
Blush looks best in soft shades of pink, plum, tawny or rose. Choose a powder blush for oily or blemish-prone skin; opt for a cream formula if skin is dry.
Eyeliner can be tricky to apply -- it takes a steady hand and lots of practice to get it right. An easier alternative: sweep a deep-toned, neutral eye shadow across your upper lid close to the lash line. Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes.
Finish your look with a shimmery lip gloss. Or check out Avon's Glazewear Liquid Lip Color for high-gloss, high-impact color.
Tip: It's better to leave brows alone for now than to over-pluck them.
